Tuition

Tuition for the Summer 2026 session is $4,995 (US).

Financial Aid

BSME does not offer financial aid or scholarships. If you receive financial aid, grants, or scholarships through your home institution, it is often possible for some or all of this money to be applied toward your BSME tuition. Please check with the Financial Services Office or Study Abroad Office at your home institution and verify if they will remit payment or if it is your responsibility.

If your home institution is responsible for your tuition, please share the BSME invoice (contained in the acceptance packet) with the office responsible for payment. If your school needs an invoice to come directly from us, please contact the BSME North American Office.

External Scholarships and Financial Resources

Lathisms Scholarship: This scholarship intends to support Hispanic/Latinx students interested in pursuing a career focused in the mathematical sciences; such career paths include, but are not limited to, scientific research, mathematics education, engineering, and finance. Scholarships of up to $500 (each) will be awarded, aimed at prospective and current undergraduate/graduate students. Other Opportunities: There are many grants available for teachers, both pre-service and in-service. See, for example, www.nctm.org/grants. For other possible funding opportunities, consult with the mathematics / mathematics education representative at your college or university.

Tuition Payment

Regardless of your financial aid package, ALL tuition must be paid in full to the BSME North American Office no later than May 1, unless other arrangements have been made.

Withdrawal and Tuition Refund

If you choose to withdraw from the program, we will reimburse a portion of your tuition according to the following schedule: before the program start date, 80%; less than 1 week into the program, 60%; less than 2 weeks, 40%; less than 3 weeks, 20%; beyond 3 weeks, no refund.

Costs Not Included in Tuition

Transportation to and from Budapest must be arranged by the participant and its cost is not included in tuition. Below are the estimated living costs (in Hungarian Forint), also not included in tuition.
